I'm Yixuan
A UX designer based in Melbourne (Australian PR), focused on human-centred digital experiences, with a background in motion and storytelling. Open to UX and digital design opportunities.
Five years designing across large scale EdTech platforms, Smart Home (IoT) products, and corporate digital programs. I lead design work end to end, from research to structure to visual craft, and try to find calm in complicated problems.
My connection to design goes back a long way. I grew up around my dad's art, with drawing and paint always close by, and that's probably where my eye for how shapes and colours sit together came from.
At RMIT I studied landscape architecture, where I learned to think about how people move through a space and make sense of it. A master's in multimedia design at Monash put that into motion, the same focus on guiding someone through an experience, just on a screen instead of a landscape.
A few years into multimedia work, I kept gravitating to the logic underneath, how the pieces connect, why the order matters, and whether the whole thing was solving the right problem in the first place. That pull is what moved me into UX.
